My Fender Champ Kicking This Project Off!
This is the first post, kicking off my Fender Champ project. Over the years I’ve found it to be quite difficult to find accurate information about vintage Fender Champ amplifiers all in one place. Some sites have wiring diagrams, others have a few photos. Some sites have interesting stories about why musicians love their Champ and still others have gems of information buried in a long string of forum posts.
So this is it – a 1959 narrow panel tweed Fender Champ 5F1. I plan on photographing every interesting inch of this amp and showing every feature – warts and all! This is a great example of a vintage tweed Fender Champ amplifier from the late 1950′s.

I hope that people will find this to be a useful resource when hunting for your dream amp, helping you to determine if something is original or replaced and to have an all around good time learning about one of the greatest amplifiers ever created!
