Fender Champ 5F1 Wiring Diagram
We have some more vintage Fender amplifier schematics today. We’ve already featured the Fender Champ model 5C1 and the 5E1 schematics. Today we have the 5F1. Some would consider this to be the definitive tweed era Fender Champ. The main change from the 5E1 circuit in 1956 was the removal of the filter choke. Check out this cool animated transition between the 5E1 and 5F1 circuits.
Once Fender got to this circuit revision, development of the Champ stopped and the electronics stayed the same until the fall of 1964 when the Champ was cosmetically revamped to conform with the new blackface style of Fender’s amp line and bass and treble knobs were added. If you are interested you can read a little more about the transition Fender Champs in a previous post. The Fender Champ 5F1 circuit would largely remain unchanged until 1982.
