Tweed Fender Champ C-02678
We have another great looking vintage Fender Champ today. This one is a 5F1 model and is serial number C-02678. Trying to date this amp by serial number tells us that is was made in mid-to-late 1956. The tube chart is stamped with the date code FK which tells us that it was made in November 1956. This amp looks like it has had some work done on it. Some of the capacitors and resistors have been replaced and the handle looks like it is black plastic, not the original brown leather with white stitching. The speaker also looks like it has been replaced – you can just make out some of the label in the photo with all the caps and resistors. This was not a standard speaker marking design in the Champs of this time. The power cord also looks like it has been replaced.

Definitely completely recapped and a new handle and speaker. From the front that speaker looks like a JBL.
