Tweed Fender Champ 5F1 C-08784

We have another tweed Fender Champ for your enjoyment today.  This one is a 5F1 model from the tail end of 1958.  We can estimate this based on the serial number C-08784.  We do not have a picture of the date code stamped on the tube chart but given this late serial number, December 1958 is not a bad guess for the month of manufacture. 

The handle and power cord look original on this vintage amp.  These are usually the first things to be replaced.  The leather handles dry out and crack with age and use and the insulation on the power cords is easy to melt through with a hot vacuum tube (not to mention the safety issues of running an ungrounded amp!)
